The Exeltech inverter is the answer to those who have finicky appliances that won't run on modified sine wave. The smaller Exeltech inverters are ideal for dedication to low power wave-sensitive appliances. Though most home systems probably won't have problems with modified sine wave inverters (we don't) , others will, due to proximity of their inverter and the load, and the quality of the electronics. (Cheap stereos have an audible hum on modified sine wave inverters due to the lack of good filtering in their power supplies.) Exeltech makes larger inverters up to 2000 watts, but we don't recommend them as 'whole-system' inverters due to their relative inefficiency (85%) and low surge capacity. The Exeltech has protection from under and over voltage, output short and input reverse polarity, and over temperature. One Year Warranty.
